What is DD?
What is Domestic Discipline?
Many of you who have found this website are probably already in Domestic Discipline relationships and understand how it all works! For those have you or are not I though I would try and explain as best I can what DD is.
DD (Domestic Discipline) also sometimes known as Taken in Hand. Is in our case a male led relationship ( it can be female led but this site is concerned with the male led relationship) where the wife has a set of rules to follow laid down by the husband. These rules are usually decided by the couple but the ultimate end result is always decided by the HOH (Head of household).
The wife has to stick to these rules otherwise she faces the consequences for her actions. It is rather like an old fashioned 1950s relationship where the man had the last say and he was head of the house.
I think that today alot of women are turning to this lifestyle as life has become too demanding for modern women. Some wish to have a much simpler life where everyone knows what their role is, making for a much more harmonious and loving relationship.
DD certainly brings the couple together and the bond between the couple is certainly made stronger. The Rules vary for each couple as do the punishments. I will be writing articles on these subjects soon but for now if you are new to DD i hope that helped!

What is DD?
What is Domestic Discipline?
Domestic Discipline when starting out can seem quite complicated, although it is in fact very simple.
Domestic Discipline or DD, is a male led relationship (it can be female led, but this site is concerned with the male led relationship) where the woman has a set or rules to live by decided by the husband or Head of Household (HoH).
Seems scary? It can be! The thought of an old fashioned relationship to most would shock them, hence why many DD couples lead a secret life which only they know about!
The woman as i said has a set of rules to live by which are determined by the husband, with the wife having an imput. If any of these rules are broken then the wife is punished by the husband/HoH.
This can be anything from spanking, grounding, corner time, lines or loss of priviledges. The rules can range from anything to keeping the house tidy to having to be in bed at a certain time.
Most DD couples have what is known as the 4 D's as their rules, these are:
Disrespect
Dishonesty
Disobedience
Dangerous
These are mostly self explanatory, and simplifies the rules process in DD. Of course if you feel you need to have certain more specific rules these can be added to these main 4 but most rules come under these 4 headings.
Then we come to punishments........
Again these are down to personal choice but as mentioned the main punishment in most DD relationships is spanking. The thought to most grown women of getting a spanking in an adult relationship is unthinkable but in DD it is one of the main punishments used.
Believe it or not, it is very effective and like myself those women who need Domestic Discipline also need Spanking in order to feel happy and fulfilled. I will talk more about Punishments at a later date.

How many couples practice DD?
This is a question to which we will probably never know the answer! Anyone who is in a Domestic Discipline relationship knows that it has to be kept secret from family and friends through fear of them jumping to conclusions and not understanding how a Domestic Discipline relationship works or the benefits of it. This is why there are so many Domestic Discipline blogs, this is an outlet for couples who otherwise would have no one to talk to about Domestic Discipline or share their views.
It is a shame that we cannot be open with family and friends but i am sure most of us know that our family especially would be horrified that we had to live under certain rules and were punished if we broke them. It would be seen as the male partner being controlling and the female partner some how being down trodden. THIS IS NOT THE CASE!
Most Domestic Discipline relationships begin because it is the woman who wants it and brings the subject to the male partner, this was certainly true in my case anyway and from what I have read most other women too. There are many levels of Domestic Discipline and I think many couples are probably leading a Domestic Discipline lifestyle without even knowing it.
The issue is that people wouldn't understand and would not even listen to how it works and what is involved and would see it as abuse, which it certainly is not!!!!
Maybe one day we will be able to be honest and tell people how we live our lives....but I doubt it!

Ok.....so i have been signed off work for 3 weeks and work have sacked me....that can't be right?????? I have a doctors certificate to cover the 3 weeks......Not a happy bunny!

Things seem to be finally coming together! We will be chatting this weekend about re starting DD. That is both scary and exciting! Also we are so thrilled that the website is now up and running! I have been working 14 hours a day on it and it looks like all that hard work has finally been worth it! It is even more rewarding than I thought it would be! Happy! Happy! Happy!

Here we go again!!!!!
So........the weekend is finally here! I am wondering if SirDD has remembered that we spoke about restarting DD? He has not mentioned anything about it yet, although we have both been busy working all week. Perhaps he is just thinking about the possibilities? Hmmmmm not sure!
My thoughts have not changed much, I would be happy to start DD again, perhaps though slightly differently than last time......though I know from experience that you can start a conversation about how you want Domestic Discipline to go and end up in a totally different place!!!!!
We will see what happens!!!
